I then got a judge to vacate the restraining order, which means while it is obviously illegal to hurt or threaten someone, there was nothing stopping me from being in the same place as her. Sure I’ve thought a few people needed a kick in the teeth, but I never did anything, and she knew that. I ran into her at a car wash once around a year later. Saw it was her at the end of the line and just watched my car go through the various car wash contraptions. I kept my hands in my pockets and didn’t look her way until I was at the end of the line and she was already long gone. I got contacted by three mutual friends about following her that day. God forbid I need my car washed. There were gunshots on her street a couple years later and she dialed 911 to say it was me. The police came to my parents’ house looking for me, but I was at my now father-in-law’s birthday dinner five towns away. He was a police officer in the same city where we both lived, and revealed her street name to me which I didn’t know, because I didn’t care. In the end, the best revenge was no revenge at all. So many accusations were while I was with people who also knew her, so they all got debunked pretty quickly. So you got revenge on them by living a better life and being happier. They don’t want that, so they try to get you fired or they call CPS to try and take your kids away as revenge. Yet you don’t lose your job because your employer is aware of who this ex is. Yet CPS calls the case unfounded and you dont have to worry anymore. You continue the revenge of living your best life, while they keep focusing too heavily on the past. You are not getting revenge on them, you are not hurting them nor attempting to. Example. You are driving the speed limit in the slow lane of the highway. Guy behind you is upset and tailgating you. You slow down to get him to stop tailgating, but it only makes him angrier. You feel better that you are making him suffer for driving wrecklessly. Then he speeds around you, flipping you off. You can either let it go there or start tailgating him in revenge again, but it may end in a cop seeing you this time and you get pulled over and a ticket. It makes you feel like you have won some kind of contest or trophy. Example. You are dating an abusive partner and finally get the courage to escape that relationship. Your life improves without that person, and you find you are much happier without them. However, they are still obsessing over you and are angry you broke up with them. So you got revenge on them by living a better life and being happier. They don’t want that, so they try to get you fired or they call CPS to try and take your kids away as revenge. Yet you don’t lose your job because your employer is aware of who this ex is. Yet CPS calls the case unfounded and you dont have to worry anymore. You continue the revenge of living your best life, while they keep focusing too heavily on the past. You are not getting revenge on them, you are not hurting them nor attempting to. The second example is my story. It happened to me with my ex. To me, that is the greatest revenge. To move on from someone or something that has wronged you and live your best life. My personal take on this is that man created science and man also created the dogmas that have fought science. I have never read in any of the Holy books that science is bad or wrong. It might be due to our very limited understanding and interpretation of these teachings (even fear) that we had historically refused science and scientific discoveries. It seems that as humanity continues to become more literate and educated, we cannot continue to accept dogmatic thinking that fundamentally misrepresents many of the true religious teachings and thus have begun to reject it. We could say that the powers of ‘reason’ and ‘logic’ are now in the hands of the people and are being used to beat down the dogmas and illogical misrepresentations of religion. More like a ‘revolution’ in history, if you will, rather than a ‘revenge’. Sadly we tend to respond to many issues with an ‘All or Nothing ‘ approach and when it comes to religion, it seems that we are discarding religion and faith with its dogmas. It was all lies, and the judge caught her. There was also nothing stopping me from getting my guns back. The thing is, while I may be loud and apparently intimidating, I’ve never been violent. Sure I’ve thought a few people needed a kick in the teeth, but I never did anything, and she knew that. Still she was sure I was going to get her, and every little thing that happened to her computer, her phone, her car, etc, was all blamed on me. She moved a couple times and would complain at each place that I had followed her home and was driving by and shouting obscenities, slashing tires, smashing windows, etc. I would see her on the road, but I did nothing. I ran into her at a car wash once around a year later. Saw it was her at the end of the line and just watched my car go through the various car wash contraptions. I kept my hands in my pockets and didn’t look her way until I was at the end of the line and she was already long gone. I got contacted by three mutual friends about following her that day. God forbid I need my car washed. There were gunshots on her street a couple years later and she dialed 911 to say it was me. The police came to my parents’ house looking for me, but I was at my now father-in-law’s birthday dinner five towns away. He was a police officer in the same city where we both lived, and revealed her street name to me which I didn’t know, because I didn’t care. In the end, the best revenge was no revenge at all. So many accusations were while I was with people who also knew her, so they all got debunked pretty quickly. Still she was convinced that if I hadn’t gotten my revenge yet, that I would, and it was going to be catastrophic. It’s been over 10 years, and I still haven’t taken revenge, but I have received the satisfaction. As many can guess, I am not the only one she screwed over. I guess paranoia rules when you make yourself a target to so many people. This time, revenge was a dish best not served at all.
