She was declared cancer-free right before she got sick. Her girls are around the same age as Shannon. This is a difficult post to read, and my heart is breaking again. . I’m so glad you had a doctor who recommended hospice and that she had 28 days there with you. That is a big blessing as they help manage pain and symptoms so so much. But any time is forever too short for the ones we love . In a strange way it’s kind of nice that she passed away on Halloween, the Day of the Dead, the day the dead get to walk among the living, and the holiday that Shannon enjoyed so much. A small comfort I suppose.. What is it about 20 months? My son died of SIDS at 20 months, then a year later a sweet friend named her son after him.
